Employment Type: Internship
Position Overview: Assess current work processes and operations. Enhance current or design and implement new processes that increase overall plant efficiency and output. Projects will be provided to the intern with the development opportunity to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in Manufacturing Engineering. This is a paid Internship. 
Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
• Prepare, update, and implement process improvements and changes to meet production specifications
• Provide thorough instructions for the successful implementation of process changes
• Assist with quality defect root cause analysis and countermeasure implementations
• Educate sewing operators and supervisors on product/design changes
• Develop and track metrics to monitor areas needing improvement
• Communicates findings and proposals to upper management

Non-Essential Job Functions: Perform other tasks as required by Senior Management
Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Student must possess basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, quality control, and lean manufacturing
• Well-developed problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and follow through
• Experienced in Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements: Long periods of sitting or standing; walking and observing activities in warehouse & production areas; business travel as required
Working Conditions: Temperature-regulated office environment, work in manufacturing plant & warehouse.
